Launched in 2015, THE JKBN GROUP, LLC is an artistic and professional enterprise made up of a confluence of Kadir’s masterful artistry and Jungmiwha’s diverse professional experience and academic rigor. Together our work explores the complexities of racial and ethnic equality, social and restorative justice, historical legacies, and much more through a myriad of collaborative and independent projects. Whether that includes “re-righting” the stories of some of the most overlooked historical figures and truths in American society, from the likes of Henrietta Lacks, Marshall “Major” Taylor, and the Clotilda, to that of creating and developing Master Class series to underserved communities; our projects are as diverse as the paint on Kadir’s palette and the books on Jungmiwha’s bookshelves.

This site serves as a landing page to share the pre-production, production, and post-production of our ongoing and past projects. Since we do not often have an opportunity to share some of the incredible collaborations we have been honored and humbled to be a part of (as we are often working on multiple projects simultaneously and move on quickly to the next), this site gives us a moment of pause to share more of what THE JKBN GROUP is up to outside of our personal websites and social media handles.
